Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and Trek Briefing
Arrive at Cusco Airport, where our team will greet you and take you to your hotel in the historic center. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and getting used to the altitude. You can take a gentle walk around the main square, visit local cafés, and soak in the atmosphere of the former Inca capital. In the evening, meet the trekking team for a full trek briefing to prepare for the days ahead. Overnight stay in Cusco.
Day 2: Cusco City Tour
After breakfast, explore the city of Cusco with your local guide. Discover its most beautiful landmarks, including the Plaza de Armas, the impressive Cusco Cathedral, and the Temple of the Sun known as Koricancha. Learn about the city’s Inca foundations and its transformation during the colonial era while walking through its cobbled streets and traditional neighborhoods. Overnight stay in Cusco.
Day 3: Cusco - Piskacucho - Llactapata - Ayapata
Start your trek passing through the first Inca checkpoint.
Visit Patallacta, an ancient Inca site.
Camp at Ayapata (3300m).
Day 4: Dead Woman's Pass - Runcuraccay Pass - Chaquiccocha
Conquer Dead Woman's Pass (4215m), the highest point on the trail.
Explore the Inca site of Sayacmarca.
Camp at Chaquicocha (3600m).
Day 5: Chaquiccocha - Wiñay Wayna
Hike through the cloud forest, enjoying panoramic views.
Visit Phuyupatamarka and Intipata ruins.
Camp near Wiñay Wayna, a stunning Inca site.
Day 6: Sun Gate - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Witness the breathtaking sunrise over Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate.
Explore the Lost City of the Incas with a guided tour.
Take the train back to Cusco.
Overnight stay in Cusco.
Day 7: Transfer to the airport
