Tour Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival in Cusco

Our representative will meet you at the Cusco airport and take you to your hotel. With Cusco sitting at 3,300 meters, your first day is designed for acclimatization. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring the historic main square.

Day 2. Cusco City Tour

Enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a guided afternoon tour that brings Cusco’s history to life. Visit the Cathedral, Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), and the major archaeological sites surrounding the city - Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

In the evening, meet your Inca Trail team for a briefing.

Day 3 - Sacred Valley Tour

Travel through the heart of the Sacred Valley. Visit the viewpoint of El Mirador, explore Pisac archaeological site, enjoy time at the colourful Pisac market, and discover Ollantaytambo’s impressive ruins.

Day 4 - Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Begin your bucket-list adventure with a scenic train to Km 104. Visit Chachabamba, hike to Wiñay Wayna, and enter Machu Picchu through the iconic Sun Gate, arriving after the crowds have left. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 5 - Machu Picchu Guided Visit

Catch sunrise over Machu Picchu and enjoy a complete guided tour. Free time afterwards to explore before returning to Cusco.

Day 7 - Rainbow Mountain + Red Valley

Day 8 - Scenic Journey to Puno

Travel by tourist bus to Puno, stopping at historical and archaeological sites along the Andean route.

Transfer to Juliaca airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, your driver will take you to your hotel.

Day 11 - Tambopata Amazon Lodge

Fly to Puerto Maldonado and journey deep into the rainforest by road and river. Enjoy your first walk in the Amazon and settle into your accomodation.

Explore Lake Condenado, home to diverse birds and wildlife. After lunch, embark on a nighttime caiman-watching adventure along the river.
