5-Day Cusco and Machu Picchu Package

Explore Cusco’s top highlights and the iconic Sacred Valley before arriving at the majestic Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This classic 5-day itinerary is perfect for travelers short on time but eager to see it all.

Day 1 – Arrival in Cusco
Upon arrival at Cusco’s airport, you’ll be welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. If you feel up to it, you can explore Cusco at your own pace. Walk around the Plaza de Armas, visit Sacsayhuamán, or wander through the artistic San Blas neighborhood. Our team can also recommend restaurants and help with reservations.

Day 2 – Cusco City Tour
Enjoy a half-day guided tour of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the Americas. You’ll visit the Cusco Cathedral, home to important works from the Cusco School of art, and Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, built beneath the Santo Domingo Convent. The tour continues to the impressive Inca sites surrounding the city: Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, known for its advanced water systems. After the tour, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 – Sacred Valley Tour
Travel through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a region rich in history and agricultural importance. Visit the archaeological site of Pisac and its famous terraces, followed by time at the local artisan market. Continue to Ollantaytambo, an impressive Inca fortress and living town, before ending the day in Chinchero, a traditional Andean village with Inca walls and a colonial church built on Inca foundations. Return to Cusco in the evening.

Day 4 – Machu Picchu Tour
Early pickup from your hotel and transfer to the train station for a scenic journey to Aguas Calientes. From there, your guide will take you to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of this iconic Inca citadel. Explore its temples, terraces, and plazas while learning about its history, architecture, and engineering. After the visit, enjoy free time in Aguas Calientes before returning by train and transferring back to your hotel.

Day 5 – Departure from Cusco
At the scheduled time, you’ll be transferred from your hotel to Cusco’s airport for your onward journey.
